Good to know before you give
Straight to your student and the center in Jinotega: her scholarship, school supplies, tutoring, the library, and workshops. Círculo de Amigas Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit run by volunteers.
You are matched with a real student. You receive her report cards, and the two of you write to each other through our private messaging portal, which the foundation reads and translates before every message is delivered. Many sponsors build a relationship that lasts for years.
Sponsorship is a journey. Many girls stay in the program from primary school through university. You can give monthly or on a schedule that suits you, and you can change or pause your support at any time.
Sponsoring a girl starts at $74 a month, about $2.43 a day, and rises to $99 a month once she reaches university. If that is more than you can take on right now, you can support the center for $25 a month instead. We also offer annual, semi annual, quarterly, and monthly payment schedules.
Yes. You can write to her by post, and volunteers are welcome to visit Nicaragua to meet their student and her family.
